Kaipo wants to join his three older brothers as they paddle their canoe out to sea to fish for the mighty ahi. But his brothers see him as the baby of the family and refuse to let him join them, even though they haven t caught fish for days.Knowing his brothers disappointment, Kaipo offers his help, but is ignored. Rejected, Kaipo joins his friend Pilialo to fly kites from their favorite hill. While there, Pilialo s kite snaps free and flies away. This gives Kaipo an idea and the courage to stand up to his brothers and convince them he knows how to change their luck with the mighty ahi.With persistence and patience, Kaipo is given the chance to prove himself to his brothers and become a respected fisherman like them.
