HAWAIIAN STYLE COOKING was created from the authors collection of recipes since her seventh grade homemaking class, and also picked up many more from her dear family and friends, covering 30 years. When she realized that too many pieces of paper here and there and everywhere was too much, she decided to created this local style cookbook with easy to read recipes. She dedicates it to the memory of her mother, Queenie, who taught her how to cook at the age of 10. She would stand on a chair next to the stove, cooking a pot of stew...
