From its inception in the early 1960s, the column “Today s Thought” by Reverend Paul Osumi was the first thing readers turned to in the Honolulu Advertiser. As one faithful reader wrote, it could “turn a doubtful morning into a hopeful one.” In response to numerous requests, Reverend Osumi began compiling his columns into a series of three inspirational booklets in 1966. In 1996, Osumi passed away at the age of 90. This reprinting of the first volume, Today s Thought, brings Osumi s simple wisdom into the hearts of a new generation.
